Original Lin Carter Typescript "Auto-Bibliography". Seven single-sided pages. 8.5" x 11". Ribbon copy. Dated May 25, 1971. Titled "The Incomplete Works of Lin Carter: An Annotated Augo-Bibliography [sic], Put Together For No Particular Reason." Noted science fiction and fantasy author Lin Carter writes in the preface to this work "I would like to convince myself that it is not mere egoism that prompted me to assemble this list of my Incomplete Works, but such is probably the case, so why fight it?" Though slightly whimsical in tone the annotated list provides a wealth of publishing detail for not only books written by Carter but for those books that he edited. Carter has made several corrections and additions to the list by hand. He also includes ten works set for publication the following year.

Included with the bibliography are four Typed Letters Signed by Carter. One letter dated May 25, 1971 was obviously the cover letter to the bibliography as it mentions "The list of my work you asked for is enclosed." Three of the letters are on Carter's personal letterhead which uses a Frank Frazetta illustration as the headpiece. (On one letter this has been excised). The paper on all the items has slightly toned and all display evidence of old fold creases, else they are in very good condition. From the Robert and Diane Yaspan Collection.
