Mrs. R. E. [May Amanda Williams] Pennington. The History of Brenham and Washington County. Houston: Standard Printing & Lithography Company, 1915. First edition; 100 copies printed, per Howes. 8vo. 123pp. Photographs. Dark blue-green cloth, with titles stamped in white on front board, and in gilt on spine. Marbled endpapers. Large circular area of faint discoloration to both boards, with some rippling of cloth. Extremities lightly worn. Occasional foxing. First flyleaf appears to be excised. Pencil name to title page, apparently a relative of the author. Small bookplate to verso of front free endpaper. Very good. Scarce.

Chapters also on the Giddings family, the Shepard family, W. W. Searcy, the Low family, Washington-on-the-Brazos, early German settlers and their descendants, and Hugh Kerr.
