Text illustrations by E. W. Kemble. Publisher's full green pictorial cloth, stamped and lettered in gilt and black. Laid in is an early photograph postcard of Twain with his name in Cyrillic. Bumped corners. Professionally recased retaining original boards and backstrip. Hinges reinforced. Some slight damp-staining to lower corner of pastedown through table of contents. Some minor tape-staining to rear free endpaper. Overall, a very good, clean copy, showing some professional conservation work.
