    More Information:

    First edition. Octavo. 537 pages.

Publisher's blue boards with blue cloth spine and silver stamping. There is fading along the top and bottom board edges. The page edges are mildly toned and there is a previous owner's name on the front free endpaper. Dust jacket is very slightly rubbed and edge-worn with a touch of darkening to the edges. A better than very good copy.

Nominated for both a Hugo and Nebula award. An excellent example of "hard" science fiction, in which the authors make serious effort to keep the science aspects of the book within plausible boundaries.

    Currey, p. 386.
