    First edition, one of fifty copies on large paper for private circulation. Author's personal copy with his bookplate on front pastedown. Octavo. 187 pages. Ten plates.

    Publisher's quarter black leather with black cloth boards and gilt stamped spine. Top edge gilt. Lightly rubbed extremities. Mild toning to page edges. Housed in a custom clamshell box. A very good copy.

    A classic title in the history of bookbinding. Zaehnsdorf's landmark work became a standard text among trade binders.
