Description

"A Great Rumbling Farce of Falstaffian Dimensions..." --Walker Percy

John Kennedy Toole. A Confederacy of Dunces. Foreword by Walker Percy. Baton Rouge: Louisiana State University Press, 1980.

First edition. Octavo. 338 pages. Forward by Walker Percy. Jacket design by Ed Lindlof.

Original cloth with black lettering on the spine. Edges of pages slightly toned (as usual). Gift inscription on the front free endpaper. Dust jacket is missing a 1 x .5-inch section at the top edge near the spine and a much smaller section at the bottom edge of the front panel. Overall, a handsome copy in fine condition.

Toole's singular work - acclaimed as a modern classic by its fans for its unparalleled humor and style - won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1981.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
