Includes Poems Here at Home (New York: The Century Company, 1893), first edition, 187 pages, inscribed by the author on his frontis portrait: "For Erasmus Wilson, from his old Hoosier friend, James Whitcomb Riley. Indianapolis, Ind., Oct. 10, 1893", illustrated by E. W. Kemble, green cloth with extensive gilt decoration, gilt titles, top edge gilt, 12mo (4.75" x 7"), spine darkened with a small stain, boards toned at the edges, small indention on front board, contents sound and bright, very good; and His Pa's Romance (Indianapolis: The Bobbs-Merrill Company, 1903), first edition, 168 pages, inscribed, incorporating a small doodle of the sun: "To Erasmus Wilson, esq. With hale Christmas greetings of his always grateful and affectionate friend, James Whitcomb Riley. Christmas of 1903 Then God smiled and it was morning.", illustrated by Will Vawter with a portrait by John Cecil Clay, red cloth boards with gilt rules and titles, gilt spine titles and decorations, top edge gilt, 12mo (5" x 7.25"), spine slightly faded, else a fine copy.
