Tissue-guarded frontispieces and plates (lacking a plate in Volume II), woodcut illustrations throughout, and a folding map. Rebacked, with original green cloth gilt pictorial boards, and with original spine laid down. Original green cloth with pictorial gilt boards and gilt lettering; blind-stamped decorations. Yellow endpapers. Boards soiled; spines darkened. Spine ends chipped with minor fraying; corners bumped. Large dampstain to leaf containing frontispiece in Volume I. Offsetting and toning to several pages. Bookstore ticket and bookplate in each volume. Overall, very good.
