Cream endpapers; light pencil mark to front free endpaper recto. Internally clean and tight, all edges trimmed, top edge stained red; stain to top edge unevenly faded, minor text block edgewear. Dust jacket unclipped (21s); spine and top edges sunned, light stain to front panel at spine fold, 0.5-inch closed tear to head of spine, minor edgewear. Near fine book with near fine dust jacket.

Internally clean and tight, all edges trimmed, top edge stained red; stain to top edge unevenly faded, minor text block edgewear, minor intermittent foxing chiefly to edges. Dust jacket unclipped (21s); spine and top edges sunned, minor edgewear, minor foxing to back panel. Near fine book with near fine dust jacket.

    A set as beautiful as a single golden hair from Galadriel's head and just as precious. The first impression of The Fellowship of the Ring was composed of merely 3,000 copies, making a complete first edition, first impression set in this condition quite rare.
