Octavo. 211, [1, colophon] pages; laid paper with watermark, errata slip at page [vii]. Illustrated with two black and white photographic plates with tissue guards. Publisher's pictorial green cloth, ruled in gilt and with axe ornament in gilt to the center of the upper board, spine stamped in gilt; original printed dust jacket. Corners rubbed, head and foot of spine pushed and somewhat worn. Cream endpapers; bookplate to front pastedown, small pencil notation to rear pastedown. Internally generally clean and tight, edges untrimmed; somewhat foxed, chiefly to front and back of text block and edges, text block edges toned with minor wear. Dust jacket without a price listed; minor edgewear, chipping to head and foot of spine and corners with some losses, creased at folds, somewhat foxed and soiled. Very good book with very good dust jacket.
