DescriptionJ. C. Daniel. A History of the Baptists of Hill County, Texas. Waco: Hill-Kellner-Frost Co., 1907. First edition. 12mo. 132pp. Introduction by J. Frank Norris. Numerous photographs of Baptist churches and prominent Hill County Baptists. Quarter black over printed paper boards. Binding worn; some paper loss, rubbing, and light staining to paper boards. Some minor wrinkling/rippling to pages, likely caused in printing and binding. Very faint embossed seal reading "Baylor Library/Waco Texas" on title page. Author portrait page has library call numbers in pencil and notation in pencil stating that the book was withdrawn from the Baylor University Library; no library markings to spine or endpapers. A tight, generally bright copy in very good condition. Rare.
An interesting county history, told exclusively from a Baptist perspective. As the author writes in the preface: "It was sought to give a history of the Baptists of Hill County. But little has been considered either within or without the county except that with which the Baptists of the county were vitally connected." Divided into three parts: "The Field and the Workmen"; "The Churches"; and "Co-Operative Organizations." Contains many short biographical profiles of Hill County citizens.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
