Brown cloth with the covers blindstamped and the spine stamped in blind and gilt. House in a brown cloth chemise and Quarter brown leather over brown cloth slipcase with the spine stamped in gilt.
Minor rubbing and bumping to the corners and spine ends, spine is slightly leaning and the spine and top edges are darkened. Tiny pencil notations to endpapers. Top and fore-edge of slipcase are darkened. A very good copy of the author's epic poem.
First edition points: Binding with blindstamped covers and the spine stamped in gilt. Yellow endpapers and publisher's catalog dated November, 1855.
