    Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Aftermath. Boston: James R. Osgood and Company, 1873. First edition, first printing. Green cloth beveled boards with the front cover and spine stamped in gilt and the rear cover stamped in blind. Brown-coated endpapers. Very good.

    Minor rubbing, lightly bumped corners and spine ends which are fraying, gilt on the spine is rubbing off, slightly darkened spine. Previous owner's name and date in pencil on the front flyleaf and pencil mark to rear pastedown endpaper. Spine is slightly leaning. Very good condition.

    First edition, first issue points: On page [iii] line two up "Scarderbeg" rather than Scanderbeg as found in the 1874 printing. On page 54 verse seven "Little cared" rather than "Or for his" as found in the 1874 printing. Frontispiece inserted. BAL 12164
