Twelvemo. 278 pages. With twenty engraved plates by C.H.M. Kerr and other illustrations in text.

    Original olive cloth with gilt titles on the spine and front board. Beveled boards. Endpapers with floral design with sailing ships and swans. Cloth worn from corners. Shelf wear at the extremities. 2.5 inch crack on the rear joint starting at the head of the spine. Textblock slightly skewed. Internal contents tight. Table of contents page uncut. Front hinge starting to crack. Rear endpaper detached but present. Very good condition. From the Robert and Diane Yaspan Collection.
