    Description

George W. Coe, as related to Nan Hillary Harrison. Frontier Fighter. The Autobiography of George W. Coe Who Fought and Rode With Billy the Kid. Boston and New York: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1934. First edition. 8vo. 220 pages. Publisher's original tan cloth with titles and decoration printed in green on the front board and spine. Light shelf-wear to the boards with some minor toning to the preliminary and terminal pages. A very good copy in the seldom encountered dust jacket. The jacket is modestly worn at the corners and has old tape repairs on the reverse, otherwise it remains remarkably bright.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
