    First edition. Large quarto. [viii], 694 pages. Profusely illustrated throughout.

     

    Original blue cloth with helmet vignette stamped in gilt on the front board and gilt titles on the spine. Boards worn at the extremities with some scuffing and soiling. Contents sound save for some light pencil marginalia throughout mainly in the form of small check marks. Nice library bookplate on the front pastedown and bookseller label on the rear pastedown. Unobtrusive library ink stamp on the top edge and title page. Library ink markings on spine, else very good.

     

    This is the standard reference on all things armor and weapons related.
