    More Information:

    First edition, second printing. Octavo. xi, 209 pages with sixteen pages of publisher's ads at the rear. Twenty-six illustrations included in the pagination.

    Some rubbing, bumping to corners and spine ends which have some losses and fraying and spine is leaning slightly. Hinges are beginning to crack and very light foxing to preliminary pages.

    This work was originally published in serialized form in St. Nicholas Magazine from November 1885 to October 1886.
