    Binding is slightly rubbed, bumped on the corners, slightly fraying spine ends and displays minor white discoloration and a darkened spine. Hinges are breaking. Some rubbing and white discoloration to slipcase and chemise, darkening to the slipcase spine. A good copy of Burnett's first children's novel.     

    Prior to publication in book form by Scribner's,  Little Lord Fauntleroy first appeared as a series in the St. Nicholas Magazine between Novmeber 1885 and October 1886.

    First edition, first issue points: De Vinne device on verso of final text leaf, 14 page publisher's catalog at the end, "14" printed in the lower left margin of page 209 and signature mark 12 is present. BAL2064
