Hemingway First Edition in Rare Dust Jacket

Ernest Hemingway. The Sun Also Rises. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1926.

First edition, first issue of dust jacket; and second issue of book, with "stoppped" corrected to "stopped" on p. 181. Octavo. 259 pages.

Publisher's black cloth with gold paper labels on front board and spine, stamped in black. Lightly rubbed with some darkening to backstrip and edges. Minor abrading and soiling to the labels. Spine slightly cocked. Internal contents clean. Dust jacket is first issue, with In Our Times incorrectly listed on bottom of front panel. The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
