DescriptionErnest Hemingway. The Old Man and the Sea. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1952. First edition, first state dust jacket. Octavo. 140 pages. Light blue cloth with the front cover blindstamped and the spine stamped in silver. Very good.
Covers exhibit very minor rubbing especially to the spine and some splotchy white discoloration. Top edge of text block is darkened and very minor foxing to endpapers. Dust jacket is slightly darkened towards the edges and on the spine and has one small tear to the top of the front panel. A very good copy of the author's Pulitzer Prize winning work.
