Original red cloth, gilt- and black-stamped spine, dust jacket. Cloth on spine lightly faded and with some spotting, gilt lightly rubbed. Very small soiled spot on the fore-edge of about six leaves from the half-title through to the contents. Endpapers slightly browned. Jacket spine sunned and chipped, some chipping to top edge and corners. Crease to bottom of front panel of jacket. A very good copy.
This is the first publication of Hemingway's only full-length play and the first collection of all his early short stories, including four not previously published. It includes "The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber" and "The Snows of Kilimanjaro." There were only 5,350 copies of this first printing.
