    Green cloth with the front cover stamped in gilt and the spine stamped in gilt and black. Fore-edge uncut. Dust jacket with $2.75 price.

    Binding is faded at the edges and spine, as is common with this binding, with some darkening to the extreme edges. Dust jacket it rubbed, discolored at the edges and spine, wrinkled towards the edges and has a few small closed tears and losses. A very good copy of Hemingway's second non-fiction work.  

    First edition points: Scribner's "A" and device on the copyright page. Dust jacket with $2.75 price and very wide green band on the rear panel.
