    Octavo. 355 pages.

    Some rubbing, minor bumping to corners and spine ends and  white discoloration to the covers and top edge. Spine slightly leaning. Pencil notations on the front free endpaper and page 355. Dust jacket is rubbed, lightly soiled, has a few small closed tears, some losses to the spine ends and corners which have been repaired with tape, some discoloration to edges and spine. A good copy of Hemingway's semi-autobiographical WWI novel.    

    First edition, second issue points: Scribner's device on copyright page and disclaimer present on page [x], first issue dust jacket with "Katharine Barclay" rather than "Catherine Barkley" on the front inner flap.
