[and:] Land of Terror. Tarzana: Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., 1944. Inked name of previous owner, Maurice B. Gardner. Gardner wrote articles about Burroughs as well as authored a series of Tarzan-esque novels, featuring Batan, the bronzed giant of the South Pacific. On the copyright page, Gardner has neatly written in ink: "This book never appeared in magazine form. Written 1939. Published May 12, 1944." Very good in very good dust jacket.
