    First edition, first printing. Quarto. Unpaginated. Illustrations by the author.

    Publisher's pictorial glazed paper boards. Illustrated endpapers. Very minimal wear to extremities. Lower corner of front board with a minor bump; bump to fore-edge. Original first printing dust jacket, with "250/250" at bottom of front flap. Jacket with a few small chips at folds; some rubbing and creasing, mainly at top margin of rear panel. Color of jacket's spine slightly faded to blue. Closed tear to jacket's spine fold measuring approximately three inches. Overall, a clean, bright, and square copy in near fine condition.

    The following first edition points have been met: "14 books (up to now)" on rear jacket flap, and the list of thirteen books printed at the end of the book.
