Original tan cloth over boards with cloth backstrip. Gilt vignette on front board of each volume and titles lettered in brown. Spines lettered in gilt with each having a character vignette. Edges of pages untrimmed. Some pages uncut. Former owner's bookplates on the front pastedown of each volume. Hinges just starting, with trivial wear to the boards. Overall a fine set, housed in a beautiful quarter book-back slipcase.
