Description

    Bound Copies of Graham's Lady's and Gentleman's Magazine With First Publications of Edgar Allen Poe Stories and Poems. (Philadelphia: George R. Graham, 1841), includes volume XVIII with issue numbers 1 through 6 and volume XIX with issues 1 through 6, 296 and 308 pages respectively, bound in one volume, with mezzotints and steel engravings, half leather binding with grey decorative boards, recently conserved, 4to (6.5" x 10.5"), some foxing and staining to internal contents, dye from spine conservation has stained the cloth boards, else good condition in a modern custom clam shell case. Poe was editor of Graham's Magazine at this time and obviously took advantage of the opportunity to include as many of his works as possible including "Murders in the Rue Morgue", "Descent Into Maelström", "Never Bet Your Head", "A Chapter on Autography", "Colloquy of Manos and Una", and the poems "Israfel" and To "Helen".
