Minor rubbing to the covers and jacket, slightly bumped corners, some discoloration to the jacket especially on the spine, some minor foxing to the preliminary pages. Altogether a very good copy. Author and clergyman, Augustus Montague Summers (1880 - 1948) found great interest in studying and writing about witches, vampires, and werewolves. This piece obviously focuses upon the werewolf, and was reprinted as The Werewolf in Lore and Legend. [and:] The Vampire in Europe. New York: E. P. Dutton and Company, Inc., 1929. First edition. This book was later reprinted under the title Vampires and Vampirism.
