Plates 1-36 only (of 86 originally published), also lacking the title and text. Thirty-six hand-colored aquatints, (approximately 12.875 x 9.5 inches), by Thomas Rowlandson, with gold and silver highlights, from the first impression of Loyal Volunteers of London and Environs.
Bound in full red morocco with elaborate gilt. Green morocco label to spine, with title reading "Recueil d'Estampes" (Collection of Prints). All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Boards scuffed and quite worn along extremities. Head of spine chipped; spine lightly faded. Front board loose. Plate 17 follows plate 20. Plates 19 and 20 with some discoloration to image area. Occasional very minor smudges in margins. An internally near fine collection of plates; a superb candidate for rebinding.
