    More Information:

    Minor rubbing and creasing to wrappers, corners are very slighlty turned, spine is slighlty darkened and chipping, rear wrappers has a two inch closed tear along the spine. Tiny pencil notation to interiro of rear wrapper. Box  is lightly rubbed and spine and tip edge are darkened. Very good condition.

    First edition, first issue points: Author's name on title page is printed in roman rather than facsimile authograph as in the second edition. Page 91, line 4 from bottom "health offi......could." Binding spine is lettered down "Mark Twain's Sketches. Price, 25 Cents." Rear wrapper is illustrated with "Mark Twain's Patent Prepared Page Scrap Book" measering 2 7/8" wide by 2" high. BAL 3378.
