    First edition, third issue of Gulliver's Travels. Volume II only, published in December 1726. Two parts in octavo with continuous pagination. 353 pages. Three engraved maps (two in Part III and one in Part IV), and an engraved plate depicting the writing machine in the "Grand Academy of Lagado" in Part III.

    Full calf with polished calf panel inserts. Binding by H. Sotheran & Co. Leather spine labels with gilt titles and five raised bands. Ruled and decorated in gilt. All edges gilt with marbled endpapers. Bookplate. Pages are mildly toned with an occasional spot of foxing. Housed in a custom pull-off box intended to hold both volumes. A near fine copy.
