    [Isaiah Thomas]. The Holy Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments: together with the Apocrypha: translated out of the original tongues, with the former translations diligently compared and revised, by the special command of King James I, of England. With marginal notes and references. To which are added, an index, and an alphabetical table of all the names in the Old and New Testaments, with their significations. Worcester: Isaiah Thomas, 1791.

    First edition. Quarto. 1,310 pages. Continuous pagination. Two engraved plates.

    Custom full black leather. Boards with decorative blind stamping with gilt ruling. Backstrip with decorative stamping in blind and gilt, and gilt titles. Offsetting to endpapers from leather. Front hinge cracked. Some spotting and soiling to page edges with a dampstain affecting lower corner, from pages 907 to 1,020. Pages toned with occasional foxing. Pages appear to have been trimmed to 10.625 x 8.5 inches, most significantly to top margin and affecting some page numbers. This copy a variant bound without Concordance. A very good copy.
