First edition. Text in French and English. Twenty-four leaves with twenty full-page lithographed plates under tissue guards of Dutch costumes by Vallon de Villeneuve after designs by Hendrik Greeven, all with titles in French and Dutch underneath, and all beautifully colored by hand.
Contemporary quarter brown cloth (later repair) and original marbled boards with titles stamped in gold on green leather label mounted on the front board. Leather worn from corners, with moderate scuffing to boards and edges. Hinges broken but text block sound. Scattered light foxing throughout, but plates remain bright and largely unaffected. Former owner's embossed stamp on the front free endpaper. Plates remain in very good condition.
