    This lot: Memoirs of the Life of David Garrick, Esq. Interspersed with Characters and Anecdotes of His Theatrical Contemporaries. The Whole Forming a History of the Stage, Which Includes a Period of Thirty-Six Years. In two small octavo volumes, complete. 336; 416 pages. Engraved portrait frontispiece. Half-bound in old leather over marbled paper boards; gilt spines with red morocco labels. Blue endpapers. Leather corners worn away. Bindings worn and loose with amateur repairs to joints/hinges. All hinges broken; front board of Volume I all but detached. Pages clean, with a couple of ink spots to fore-edge of Volume II. Bookplates of The Very Rev. Charles Parfitt, with his name in ink, "Midford Castle," and dated 1851, on title page of both volumes. Text block in very good condition in a good-only binding, a worthy candidate for rebinding.
