Covers with an elaborate gilt border enclosing Dickens's gilt crest and facsimile signature, spine elaborately tooled and lettered in gilt in compartments, board edges ruled in gilt, turn-ins decoratively tooled in gilt, top edge gilt, marbled endpapers.
