Inscribed by Bernhardt Wall to Frederick W. Skiff

[Bernhardt Wall, illustrator]. Proof Set of the Rare Joyce Kilmer Issue of Wall's Etched Monthly. New York: Bernhardt Wall, 1921, i.e., 1936. Quarto. A proof copy of the etchings for the May 1921 issue, Volume 1, Number 2, of Wall's Etched Monthly. With eighteen proof etchings signed by Wall. Additionally, four etchings are inscribed by Wall to famed book collector Frederick W. Skiff below the artist's signature on each. One inscription is dated September 26, 1936. Plain gray wrappers. Skiff's bookplate to inside front cover. Also, Skiff has written on the front cover, "Out of print for over twenty years / Proof set of the (now) rare / Joyce Kilmer number / Etched by Bernhardt Wall / and presented by him to myself / in September, 1936 - / Frederick W. Skiff." Minor foxing to first and last etchings, else a fine copy.
