    This lot: One of 1,500 copies of the two-volume issue. Two quarto volumes. lxiv, 455; [lxv-]xc, [456-]990, [colophon] pages. Sixteen full-page and four double-page illustrations by Aubrey Beardsley. Frontispieces, index. Original ivory cloth elaborately decorated in gilt, top edges gilt. Uncut and unopened. Cloth darkened a bit. Minor shelfwear; top board edge of Volume I fraying. Pages toning. Removed bookplate has caused offsetting to facing page (half-title). A beautiful set in near fine condition, housed in a modern gilt-decorated slipcase. 21-year old Beardsley's first illustrated work.
