Beautiful leather bindings with titles stamped in gilt between gilt borders, five raised bands, blindstamped rose design stamped in the central panel of the boards. All edges gilt. Binder's mark and date "E. G. S. 1903" stamped in gilt on the inside rear board. Spine dark with thin crack to joints and additional wear at the edges of the boards. Offsetting from the leather binding on the endpapers, with a bookplate of a former owner on the front pastedown, else a beautiful copy housed in an equally attractive half-leather clamshell case with five raised spine bands and titles stamped in gilt on the spine.
