John Steinbeck. Zapata. A narrative, in dramatic form, on the life of Emiliano Zapata. Woodcuts by Karin Wikström. [Covelo, California]: The Yolla Bolly Press, [1991].

First edition with these woodcuts, one of 190 copies out of a total edition of 257 signed by the artist. Quarto. [2, blank], [vi], [172] pages. With seven full-page woodcuts (two of which are fold-out) inserted throughout.

This copy comes with a Typed Letter Signed by James Robertson , the president of the press, to Steve Larson, promising him a copy of his (Robertson's) address which he gave to the Steinbeck Festival, August 14, 1992. The address is also enclosed. The letter (approximately 7.25 x 6.5 inches) is on Yolla Bolly stationery and dated 1 September, 1992; the address is on nineteen leaves (11 x 8.5 inches, rectos only), printed from a word processor. The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
