    More Information:

    H. G. Wells. La Perle de L'Amour. Paris: Les Bijoux Typographiques, [1926]. First edition in French, one of 150 numbered copies. Inscribed by Wells, in which he quotes one of his mother's favorite samplers.

Inscribed by Wells on the half-title: "For/W.[?] Morgan [?]/H. G. Wells/[flourish]/ Lines from an old Sampler/made by my mother/"Virtues the chiefest beauty of the mind,/The noblest ornament of human kind:/Virtue's our safeguard, & our guiding Star/Which stirs up reason when our Senses Err"/[flourish]". Twelvemo. [2, blank], [24], [2, blank] pages. Original printed wrappers and glassine. Mild wear to glassine, light soiling to first blank, else bright and fine.  A wonderful inscription even if the name of the recipient is illegible.

From the John McLaughlin/Book Sail Collection.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
