    Mark Twain. The Writings of Mark Twain. New York: Gabriel Wells, 1922-1925. Definitive Edition, limited to 1,024 sets, of which this is number 644, and signed by the author (as S. L. Clemens and Mark Twain) and Albert Bigelow Paine. Complete in thirty-seven octavo volume. Frontispieces and illustrations throughout. Bound in recent half black morocco over red marbled boards, spines ruled, tooled, and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands. Gilt occasionally uneven, else a bright, fine set. Sold with the original boards. Twain signed the limitation sheet before his death in 1910 in anticipation of this set's publication. Due to various delays, this set wasn't published until 1922-1925.
