Charles Lamb. The Life and Works of Charles Lamb. Troy: Pafraets Book Company, [n.d., ca. 1900]. The Edmonton Edition Hand-made Paper edition, one of 250 numbered sets (this being number "233"). This set is extra illustrated with numerous additional plates and original watercolor drawings throughout, as is stated in an original watercolor statement on the title-page of volume I: "Unique copy of the works of Charles Lamb. Beautifully bound in contemporary full dark green levant morocco, covers elaborately ruled and paneled in gilt, with numerous gilt red and light brown morocco onlays, all in a floral motif, spines elaborately tooled and lettered in gilt in compartments with small circular red morocco onlays, five raised bands, gilt board edges and turn-ins, red levant morocco doublures and red silk liners, top edge gilt, others uncut. Spines uniformly sunned, some minor rubbing to bindings, headcap of volume IV chipped. A superb set; one of the finest sets of Lamb's works we've seen.
