[Together With:] [Alexander Pope, translator]. The Iliad of Homer [and:] The Odyssey of Homer. London: Charles Rivington, 1760. Later editions. Together, nineteen octavo volumes. Most volumes illustrated, some with fold-out plates. Uniformly bound in contemporary full brown calf. All volumes rebacked in later matching brown morocco, spines tooled in gilt in compartments, red and dark brown gilt morocco lettering labels. Some rubbing and mild wear to bindings, minor occasional foxing in text. Contemporary bookplates of the Rev. John St. John, Farley. Near fine.
