In a custom-made full vellum binding, covers decoratively triple-ruled and paneled in gilt, with gilt floral borders, and a gilt central theme of a crown above an "M", smooth spine ruled and tooled in gilt. All edges gilt. White silk endleaves. Some mild wear and soiling to binding, text shaken and mildly soiled. Fair. A lovely example of a late nineteenth-century royal binding.
