    Octavo. 461 pages. With numerous plates inserted. Beautifully bound by Cedric Chivers of Bath (signed) in contemporary full burgundy levant morocco, front board inset with a hand-painted vellucent panel of a saint, the panel surrounded in gilt with a floral motif, rear board with a gilt central floral motif, boards ruled in gilt, spine stamped in gilt. With olive-green morocco onlays on boards and spine. Gilt board edges and turn-ins, all edges gilt. Minor rubbing to binding, spine lightly sunned. A fine example of a Chivers hand-painted vellucent binding.
