    Publisher's black cloth with gold stamping. Light rubbing and edge wear, mainly on the corner and spine ends. Fabric bookmark is present but detached. Without dust jacket, as issued. A very good copy of this large volume.

     

    Heinlein graduated from the Naval Academy in 1929. He served as a Naval officer until 1934, when he was discharged due to pulmonary tuberculosis. Heinlein's military training and service influenced his writing throughout his career.
