    A Nearly Complete Collection of Edgar Rice Burroughs' Works in First Edition, Many in Original Dust Jackets

    Edgar Rice Burroughs. Works. [Various places: publishers, dates]. First editions. Sixty one volumes. Thirty one titles in original publisher's dust jackets. Bindings with some rubbing, wear and soiling, several titles with repairs. Several titles with previous owner's signatures. Several split hinges and some loose pages. Text is generally good, with a few with tears or creases. Jackets are generally good, although four (Tarzan and the Madman, Synthetic Men of Mars, Tales of Three Planets, The Oakdale Affair) are price-clipped. Many have tears, chips (some with very large chips), and a few have tape repairs to verso. Twenty four of twenty seven Tarzan titles (lacking Tarzan Twins and Jad-Bal-Ja, Tarzan Twins, and Tarzan and the Castaways- also lacking the extra Tarzan titles: Tarzan Clans and Tarzan, Jr.) Seven out of eleven Mars Books present (lacking A Princess of Mars, The Gods of Mars, The Warlord of Mars, Thuvia Maid of Mars). Five out of Six Pellucidar books present (lacking At the Earth's Core). All five Venus books are present. This collection has twenty miscellaneous titles (see below). All titles are first printings where called-for, except for Tarzan the Lost Adventure (second printing), The Mad King (second state). Overall, a good collection.
