Edgar Rice Burroughs. The Outlaw of Torn. Chicago: 1927. First edition. Octavo. [vi], 298 pages. Publisher's full red cloth, front board and spine stamped in gilt. In the publisher's dust jacket. Cloth spine a bit toned and rubbed. Some rubbing, mild soiling to boards. Endleaves toned, offset and mildly foxed. Front board barely bowed outward. Jacket edgeworn with many small chips and tears to spine and panel edges. Jacket thumbsoiled, especially at spine and rear panel. A very good copy in a good jacket. Zeuschner, p. 229.

This book was dedicated to the McClurg editor, Joseph E. Bray, who had repeatedly rejected The Outlaw of Torn for publication; Burroughs dedicated this book to Bray in exchange for publication and having his name printed on the recto of each text leaf at the upper edge.
From the Albert E. Willis Collection of Edgar Rice Burroughs.
