    First edition. Inscribed by Burroughs on the front free endpaper: "To/[?]/Best wishes/Edgar Rice Burroughs". Octavo. [viii], [279] pages. With nine plates inserted throughout. Gray cloth, front board and spine lettered in black, dust jacket. Jacket worn and torn, with several chips and tears (including a long creased tear to the front panel and tears to folds), and scuff marks, jacket toned and thumbsoiled, cloth spine browned, some rubbing and thumbsoiling to binding, overopened in a few places. Bookplate. Loose ownership plate of Vernell Coriell, father of Burroughs fandom. A good copy. From the Edgar Rice Burroughs Collection of Roy and Dela White.
