    Description

Cormac McCarthy. Suttree. New York: Random House, [1979]. First edition, first printing. Octavo. 471 pages. Publisher's binding and dust jacket. Mild rubbing to jacket with a few tiny tears at spine head. Not price clipped or remainder marked, as is often seen. A bright, fine copy, better than usual.

More Information: This title, considered by many to be McCarthy's best work, is scarce in the first edition, as it had a very small first printing, and did not sell well initially, hence the very common remainder mark found on most copies. Copies in this condition are even scarcer.
